We’ve never been coy about our Wednesday beer n’ burger special. Creating a special burger once a week allows us to flex our creative culinary muscles and — we hope — continually delight and fulfill your burger craving.
But just because we put a ton of imagination into the ‘burger’ half of “Beer n’ Burger” doesn’t mean that the ‘beer’ part isn’t equally as inspired. We get to curate the entire eat-and-drink experience for you, so we take extra measures to offer a beer we’re particularly delighted by. And right now, we’re really enjoying Penrose Brewing Company’s P-2, a Belgian Pale Ale.
A Belgian-inspired Pale with tropical fruit, clove, and resin-y aroma, it’s perfect for summer drinking because it finishes dry, with an aggressive, yet balanced, hop bitterness. And at 5.4%, it’s absolutely drinkable — a quality we’re particularly interested in when we’re bellying up for the long haul.
The “hoppiness” of this brew is a wholly international affair, featuring Cascade (American), Galaxy (Australian) and Bramling Cross (English) hops. In the midst of the globe’s World Cup fever, it’s nice to have a liquid reminder of how collaboration between nations can be particularly gratifying.
