This month we welcome Chicago's own, Passion House Coffee Roasters for our June Coffee Roaster Series. After tasting through their seasonal selections we made the tough decision to go with their Rwanda Lake Kivu Kabarizi. We found that the climate of the lake and the volcanic soil come together in a magical way to make deep cherry fruit tones, along side rich dark brown sugar. An extra bonus for this specific coffee is that it is certified organic. For our pastry pairing our chefs are cooking up an Orange-Poppy Seed Tea Cake, flavored with a hint of bergamot.
