This year’s Chicago Craft Beer Week is a celebration of Chicago, her diverse neighborhoods, and all the amazing beer-loving venues therein. Throughout every ‘hood in the city, there will be special $4 pours at participating spots -- but we think our neighborhood of Wicker Park has got the best selection: Trenchermen will be pulling glasses of the lingeringly fresh Evil Twin Low Life. That’s right, this golden German Pilsner is just $4. All. Week. Only at Trenchermen. Only in Wicker Park.
Even more amazingly, Low Life will also be featured as the ‘beer’ in our Burger n’ Beer special throughout the month of May! If you’re paying close attention, that means that you’ll be able to get a draft of Evil Twin Low Life and a Trenchermen burger for ten dollars every Wednesday night for the rest of May.
But we’re Trenchermen, and you know we’re not going to stop there when it comes to #CCBW! We’ve got three other equally special selections just for the occasion! Starting with a golden colored farmhouse ale, Solemn Oath’s Hexafoos is a fruity, zesty, refreshingly light-bodied ale -- and it’s ours just in time for these warmer months. Next, a Regalia brought to us by Perennial Artisan Ales. Inspired by rustic farmhouse style Saisons of Southern Belgium, Regalia is brewed with barley, wheat, and spelt, then fermented with two strains of Brettanomyces. Last, but definitely not least, we’re wrapping it up on a darker tone with Navette, a Belgian Dark Ale from Penrose Brewery. This Black Ale has toasty, herbal notes and has a nice and smooth texture, and is the perfect way to end this beautiful, sudsy triple.
Still have room for dinner? Good. We’re finishing up #CCBW a dinner catered to you fine-palated beer lovers, and we’re calling it Motley Brü! On May 22nd, Chef Pat Sheerin will bring together all three breweries with a prix fixe menu and pours from Solemn Oath, Perennial Artisan Ales, and Penrose Brewery. Stay tuned right here for more details on reservations, or send an email to email@example.com.
And most importantly, from May 15-25, end all sentences with #ccbw. Never forget!
